From JUNO Nominee to Lolla India: Jonita Gandhi's Big Stage Appearance

Renowned Punjabi-Canadian singer Jonita Gandhi has been announced as a performer at Lollapalooza India 2025, marking a historic moment in her career. The festival, India’s largest music extravaganza, is set to take place on March 8th, where Jonita will take the stage just before Grammy Award-winning artist Shawn Mendes.

The announcement solidifies Jonita’s growing global presence, making her one of the few South Asian artists to secure a prime slot at Lollapalooza. Her performance at the festival adds to an already eventful year, as she recently released Channa, the follow-up single to her 2024 debut EP Love Like That. The project has garnered critical acclaim, earning her a nomination for ‘South Asian Music Recording of the Year’ at the 54th Juno Awards, set to take place on March 30, 2025.

Jonita’s recent performances have cemented her as a global music sensation. Earlier this month, she opened for Ed Sheeran in Chennai on February 5th and also performed as an opening act for Dua Lipa at the Zomato Feeding India concert in Mumbai in November 2024. In addition, she has shared the stage with Bollywood legend Arijit Singh, further expanding her musical influence.
