Tanishaa Mukerji shines as chief guest at SVKM J.V. Parekh’s Jashn-e-Bharat, celebrating India’s 79th Independence Day.
Mumbai, August 17, 2025 — The Shri Mukesh Patel Auditorium at NMIMS Campus in Vile Parle West was filled with patriotic energy as Bollywood actress and philanthropist Tanishaa S Mukerji graced SVKM J.V. Parekh International School’s Jashn-e-Bharat as chief guest and dance judge. The vibrant inter-clan cultural festival, held to mark India’s 79th Independence Day, brought together students in a dazzling display of group singing, recitation, and dance, each performance radiating national pride and creative spirit.
A heartfelt highlight of the event came when students performed songs from classic films produced by Tanishaa’s grandfather, the renowned filmmaker Shashadhar Mukerji. This touching tribute to her family’s cinematic legacy, seamlessly woven into the celebration of India’s heritage, deeply moved Tanishaa, adding an emotional depth to the festivities.
Dressed in graceful ethnic attire, Tanishaa captivated the audience as she judged the group dance competition, earning warm applause from students, parents, and faculty.
